JOHN HALLAM QUINTET

John Hallam is an outstanding and accomplished reedsman who is equally at ease with many forms of music on a number of reed instruments.

His playing has the ability to be innovative and thrilling as well as sensitively moving.

As a freelance, professional musician, he has worked with many of the finest musicians from both sides of the Atlantic, and his work has covered recordings for radio, television, jazz workshops and projects for education.

John is joined on this occasion by Tom Kincaid - a hugely talented pianist strongly influenced by Oscar Peterson and Erroll Garner.  Tom moved to Manchester in 2002 where he is in great demand.

Tom Kincaid also features with the Dave Donohoe Band.

Making up the quintet will be Frank Slater (trombone), Jim Swinnerton (bass) & Jack Cotterill(drums).

The quintet feature on Friday night evening (Fairfield House Hotel) and Saturday afternoon (Elms Court) but John appears with Keith Nichols on Saturday evening (Elms Court) and with Tom Kincaid again during jazz dining on Sunday evening (Fairfield House Hotel).
