FRANK BROOKER

Frank Brooker has been an outstanding and supremely versatile musician on the British jazz scene for more than 40 years, joining the legendary Kid Martyn Ragtime Band in the early 1960s

Equally at home on clarinet, alto and tenor sax, he also worked with Keith Smith, John Chilton and Mike Daniels before moving to Yorkshire in the mid 1970s. He now divides his time between the Kid Boyd Jazz Band, the Dave Donahoe Band, the Yorkshire Stompers and his own quartet, together with solo guest spots.

Frank's personal heroes are George Lewis, Coleman Hawkins and Ben Webster, whom he has played alongside.
