Dear Friends old and new,

Friday 17th to Sunday 19th October 2008T

Welcome to the Land of Burns and all that jazz!   Here are just a few pictures of the area to whet your appetite starting with The Bard himself!

Now for All That Jazz!

The 6th (I can't believe it!) Ayr Jazz Festival is "just beyond the blue horizon", and lots of hard work is taking place behind the scenes, in a bid to equal or better last year's bumper event.
Our sincere thanks go to South Ayrshire Council, Craig-Wilson Ltd of Ayr and Campbell Cathcart/Sandy Ross of Glasgow for their ongoing generous sponsorship, which is hugely appreciated.
We are also deeply indebted to all owners and management of our venues, plus local businesses and shopkeepers for their loyal support throughout the past few years, playing a large part in making the event viable.

New Orleans, Dixieland, Ragtime, Swing, Hot Club and music from the 20's and 30's will be presented by top UK musicians - (some old favourites plus other new exciting groups), so there will be music to suit everyone's taste.

It's "Welcome Aboard" to Rev. Robert Lynn and his congregation at St. Leonard's Church, who will be joining Alloway Parish and St. Columba churches in the Sunday morning Jazz Services, so thanks also go to Rev. Neil McNaught and Rev. Fraser Aitken for hosting the above.

Jazz Dining will again be available, so check the programme later when finalised, since there's a most interesting mix of music this year.

I am really looking forward to seeing all our "old" friends and to making new acquaintances, so come on - take "The A - train" to the action packed Ayr Jazz Festival where you will be made most welcome.

For information on purchasing tickets just "click "on the ticket section from the main menu.

Finally, we must remind you that all our venues are subject to maximum capacity so early bookings are advisable.

BEST WISHES TO YOU ALL.

Katy
