SPORTINGHOUSE STRINGS

These three highly acclaimed international stars produce a musical tribute to the memory and repertoire of their greatly missed and loved friend Tommy Burton.
"Spats" Langham joined
Tommy in 1994, bringing his heroes Lang, Grosz and Harry Reser to the fore in
his performances.
His vast experience of working amongst the best in British, European and
American musicians over a short span of years has made Thomas "Spats"
Langham a world-wide star.
Replacing guitarist Paul Degville is
the latest recruit - Martin Litton - with his amazing piano skills and arranging
techniques, who has toured Russia and The Middle East, recorded with Humphrey
Lyttelton and Digby Fairweather, toured with Harry Strutters' Hot Rhythm
Orchestra and his own eight-piece band - Martin Litton's Red Hot
Peppers.
Martin's cd "Falling Castle" was declared "a gem" by the
Jazz Rag.
Richard Vernon, longest serving
"Sportinghouse" associate provided bass for Tommy Burton from 1984
until their last gig together prior to Tommy's untimely death in 2000.
Richard's vast experience across a varied spectrum of musical styles has
provided work with jazz greats from both sides of the Atlantic, including
Humphrey Lyttelton, John Barnes, Nat Gonella, Howard Alden, Scott Hamilton and
Bob Wilber.
